1. Why a faucet filter is better than a pitcher
Faucet filer connects directly onto a water tap and using the water pressure from the tap, the time used to filter the water is a lot lesser than using a water pitcher. And you can choose to use either filtered water or tap water by simply switch using the lever on the faucet filter.
2. What is the filtration media inside SJ Wave ACF faucet filter, and what does it remove?
The main filtration material is carbon fibre which is made from natural coconut shell. Because the pores on carbon fibre is a lot smaller than normal activated carbon, the filtration efficiency is 8-12 times better than a normal carbon filter. Our ACF faucet filter can remove up to 99% of chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals and so much more.
3. What is the filter body made of?
The filter body itself is made of food grade ABS, which is BPA free and lead free.
4. I used a TDS metre to measure the water before and after filtration and found got close results, does it mean the filer is notworking?
TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids, which are minerals and some organic matters dissolved in water. SJ Wave ACF Faucet Filter remove harmful substances but leave beneficial minerals like calcium and magnesium, and these are the main components of TDS in water. So TDS does not measure the efficiency of our ACF Faucet Filtration system.
5. After how long do you have to change the filter cartridge?
The filtration capacity of our ACF Faucet Filter is 320gallon which equals to 2400 bottles of 16.9oz bottled water. The frequency of changing the filter cartridge depends on the water quality of your house and how often you use the filter. Normally change the filter cartridge every 3-4months. Some signs telling you to change the filter includes: significant drop-in water flow from the faucet filter and change of water taste.
6. Does faucet water filter remove fluoride?
Yes. Our faucet filter removes fluoride, heavy metals, chlorine and many other contaminants.
7.How do I know if my faucets can install the SJ wave Faucet Filtration system?
We provide several adapters, and our Faucet Filter is compatible with most standard faucets. It does not fit below types of faucets:
·Irregular shape faucets
·Hand-held faucets
·Pull-out faucets
·Faucets with external threads larger than 0.89’’or smaller than 0.81’’
·Faucets with internal threads larger than 0.93’’or smaller than 0.77’’
·Downward Length shorter than 0.59’’
8. Is the Faucet Filter system easy to install? Does it require any tools?
Yes, it is very easy and straightforward to install SJ Wave Faucet Filter and no additional tools are required. In the product packaging, Teflon tape, adapters, silicon washers are provided.
Installation takes about 10 minutes and you can follow the instruction manual provided in product packaging or watch this video and follow the steps.
